Fiorentina President Mario Cognini confirmed Mario Gomez “is negotiating with Besiktas, but they are not the only club.”

“The new strategy for Fiorentina is tied to youth, as confirmed by the contract renewals of Khouma Babacar and Federico Bernardeschi,” Cognini told Radio Blu.

“Evidently we are changing our tactical system too, because Fiorentina and their Coach go forward hand in hand.
“Gomez is negotiating with Besiktas, but they are not the only club. His entourage is taking care of it.”
Cognini was asked about the on-going Mohamed Salah saga, as Roma seem ready to complete a transfer for the Egyptian.
