Parma midfielder Massimo Gobbi is looking forward to ex-club Fiorentina's visit – even though none of his former teammates remain.

The Viola have completely overhauled their squad this summer, meaning there will be few familiar faces for Gobbi when the teams meet at the Stadio Tardini tomorrow.

“Fiorentina have changed so much after two difficult years,” the left back – who was with the Gigliati from 2006 through to 2010 – told Radio Sportiva.

“There's now none of my former team-mates left. But they will certainly have a great season. For us it will be difficult because they are good from a physical point of view.

“As soon as I saw Luca Toni had signed, I knew he would make a mark immediately.

“He lives for a goal, and will go back there with the urge to score. And with Stevan Jovetic, they are one of the strongest partnerships around.”

Roberto Donadoni's Parma will draw level with Fiorentina on the six point mark if they are victorious in the teatime kick off.
