Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli insists they are ‘happy’ with the work done on the transfer market and it is not over yet, as ‘some markets are still open.’
It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).
They continued to be active on the transfer market all the way to the deadline, so late signings Teun Koopmeiners, Nico Gonzalez, Francisco Conceicao and Pierre Kalulu are all on the bench this evening.
“We are happy with the transfer market, now the pitch will have its say on the work we did,” Giuntoli told Sky Sport Italia.
It is not over yet, as players like Arthur Melo, Filip Kostic and Tiago Djalo are not part of Thiago Motta’s plans.
“There are still some markets that are open, we are seeking solutions. We’ll see.”
Among the possible destinations for them are the Saudi Pro League, Qatar and Turkey.
Perfect Juventus start under Thiago Motta
It has been truly a perfect start to the season for the Bianconeri, who beat both Como and Hellas Verona with comfortable 3-0 scorelines.
“Expectations have to be high always, then the reality is sometimes different. We will have a lot of matches and tournaments, there will be highs and lows, so we must maintain our balance,” concluded Giuntoli.
“We’ll take it one game at a time and try to give our best.”
