“The Liverpool game is still on-going, but we certainly didn’t expect them to be 2-0 down in Belgrade,” confessed the director of sport on Sky Sport Italia.
“In any case, we have to focus on ourselves and not what the other teams do. We have a very delicate match.”
Napoli outplayed Paris Saint-Germain for long periods at Parc des Princes and were leading until the last-gasp Angel Di Maria equaliser for 2-2.
“The lads have certainly gained great self-belief under Ancelotti, as the Coach brought his international experience. This is then transmitted to the performances and approach on the field, as the lads feel more secure in what they are doing and free of pressure.”
There are reports Giuntoli has been in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain to bring Edinson Cavani back to Napoli.
“I wanted to court Kylian Mbappé too,” he joked.”
