Prospective new Cagliari owner Tommaso Giulini has admitted that he will be President ‘in the next few days’.

Reports overnight revealed that Massimo Cellino had seemingly sold the Sardinian side to the owner of the Fluorsid Group, with his focus switching to England club Leeds United.

And Giulini has conceded that the deal will be complete soon, and has turned his attention to a potential new boss in Zdenek Zeman.

“President? Not yet, probably in the next few days. I haven’t slept I’m so excited,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“There is still a lot of work to do, but we want to jump-start this exciting project.

“Zeman? There has been some contact, but we will confirm the situation within the next few days.”
