Napoli left-back Faouzi Ghoulam is expected to have tests on his knee at Villa Stuart today.
The Algerian suffered two serious knee injuries last season and missed most of the campaign, and there have been concerns over the joint in recent weeks.
According to Radio CRC the swelling which was causing concern has died down, and wasn’t near the kneecap he broke after his return from a cruciate ligament injury.

Professor Pier Paolo Mariani still wants to examine the knee, but having seen an x-ray he expects Ghoulam to be available for the second friendly of pre-season.
Fabian Ruiz will also have his medical this afternoon at Villa Stuart, ahead of a €30m move from Real Betis.
