Gervinho’s visa issues continue and he is expected to miss today’s apparent final opportunity to join up with Roma in the United States.
The Ivory Coast international’s bids so far to fly out to the USA to take part in the Giallorossi’s pre-season tour have been hit by problems in attaining a visa.
Gervinho began training last weekend in the capital, but was unable to fly out with new signing Davide Astori on the Sunday due to his current visa having expired.
Issues in attaining a new one have persisted through this week and speculation is that the 27-year-old is unlikely to succeed in a final attempt today.
It is seen that Gervinho’s last chance to be able to join up with his teammates is a lunchtime flight booked, but Il Tempo lead suggestions he will not have the paperwork granted in time.
If unsuccessful, the player will remain in Trigoria, where he is joined by Vasilis Torosidis and from next week Douglas Maicon.
