Gervinho insists Rudi Garcia’s controversial ban “won’t have repercussions” on Roma ahead of their game with Milan.
The Coach was handed a two-match touchline ban after a Genoa steward at Marassi accused the tactician of slapping him, something Garcia has furiously denied.

The Coach was handed a two-match touchline ban after a Genoa steward at Marassi accused the tactician of slapping him, something Garcia has furiously denied.
“I don’t think what happened to Garcia will have repercussions on the squad,” Gervinho told Sky Sport Italia.
“The Coach remains concentrated on the group and his work on the field. We must do the same and try to win every game.
“It was a difficult situation in Genoa, as the second and third teams in the table were facing off and there was a bit of a messy end to the game. The Genoa players complained about numerous decisions, it was chaotic and I don’t want to get into details, but the most important thing is that Roma won.”
The Giallorossi have closed to within a point of Serie A leaders Juventus and host Milan at the weekend. Garcia claimed this week he was “convinced” Roma would win the Scudetto.
“The Coach tried to motivate the squad, but inside the locker room we are already aware of our own capabilities,” continued Gervinho.
“The Scudetto is our objective, but I don’t feel it is right to make comparisons with other sides like Juventus and Napoli. We need to think of our own path and above all qualify for the Champions League, because we want to get back into this tournament. After that we can think about the title.”
