Genoa chief Enrico Preziosi has confirmed that his club will be active in the January transfer window.

The Rossoblu have had a season to forget so far and the 4-2 home loss to Chievo at the weekend has put them back into the relegation zone.

“We have to act on the transfer market,” Preziosi stated on Monday. “We already have some quite precise ideas.

“We are currently unable to win fundamental games and that is why we are here discussing these things.

“We are lacking quality and personality because the team becomes demoralised after conceding a goal.

“Now I’m hoping that we pick up a few points over the next few games. With five or six more points we can become a lot more calmer.”

The Rossoblu will take on Pescara, Torino, Inter and Bologna before the second half of the season begins.
