He turns 21 next month and has already been at the MLS club since November 2010.
Primarily played down the left wing of a trident attack, Fagundez can also feature as a centre-forward or support striker.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Genoa are considering a swoop for the Uruguay Under-20 international.
