Inter “are close to a deal for Andrea Ranocchia,” confirms Genoa President Enrico Preziosi, who also makes a bid for Juraj Kucka.
Now that new Coach Leonardo is in place, the Nerazzurri look to make their first signing of the January transfer window.
“Inter have the problem of needing to replace Walter Samuel following his injury, while we have to give away Ranocchia,” Preziosi told Sky Sport Italia.
“They already own half of Ranocchia and he is already destined to join them, but he was meant to make the move in June.

“I hope my men can find the right solution in the next few days. It's safe to say Inter are close to a deal for Ranocchia.”
The Italy international defender could make the transfer in an exchange with Davide Santon or ownership of Under-21 striker Mattia Destro, who is already on loan at Genoa.
“We already have an agreement to buy out half of Destro in June, we'll have to see about the other half. I would rule out Santon, though.”
Preziosi confirmed there could be an interesting collaboration with another Serie A club to sign Slovenian talent Kucka from Sparta Prague.
“I really like Kucka. We could make an offer with Palermo.”
