Genoa’s search for a new striker has reportedly taken them to Napoli’s Roberto Inglese.

According to Rai, Inglese ‘does not seem’ to be part of new boss Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for Napoli and is looking to join a team who can ‘guarantee him a starting spot’.

The broadcaster explains Genoa could be that club, providing they can move on Gianluca Lapadula, who is ‘insistently sought after’ by Bologna.

The Partenopei bought Inglese for €12m last summer but loaned him back to Chievo, where he scored 13 times in Serie A.

Lapadula, meanwhile, joined the Grifone on loan with a €11m compulsory purchase option but netted just six goals in 2017-18.
