Sky claim the deal is a loan worth €0.5m plus an option to buy at the end of the season for €4m plus bonuses.
Genoa’s other new arrival will be left-back Gabriel Silva, who is owned by Udinese and currently on loan at Carpi.
That season-long spell will be interrupted early so the 24-year-old Brazilian can revitalise his career at Genoa.
