Coach Gennaro Gattuso calls Milan “a perfect machine”, and names failing to beat Juventus in Turin as the biggest regret from last season.
The former midfielder replaced Vincenzo Montella on the bench in November last year, having previously been coach of the youth side.

The former midfielder replaced Vincenzo Montella on the bench in November last year, having previously been coach of the youth side.
That’s despite the fact, which Ringhio revealed in an interview with the club’s official website, that he never wanted to be a Coach.
“My wife was very much in agreement, I promised we’d relax a bit when I stopped playing…” Gattuso revealed, before discussing his struggles at FC Sion, OFI Crete and Palermo.
“I think it’s exactly these difficulties which make you grow and mature. I’m not a masochist, but I like working under pressure and with difficulties.
“These are all experiences I carry with me. I have to say though that there are very few difficulties at Milan, it’s an excellent structure, a perfect machine.”
Gattuso was also asked about the most important games last season.
“The Coppa Italia derby we won against Inter was definitely decisive. It gave us a fresh mentality, quieted some nervous energy.
“The biggest regret is not having won away to Juventus in the league, winning in Turin would have reignited our season.”
The website also asked Ringhio what he sees when he looks in the mirror.
“I don’t look, I’m scared!” Gattuso laughed.
“Aside from the wrinkles, I see a different face, a few extra kilos and several more grey hairs.
“I feel like a happy man, I have a wonderful family and I do a job I like and which is fun, for the team I’ve always supported. It’s a dream.”
