Gennaro Gattuso has called on Napoli to “resolve all the other problems at the club” and focus on “beating Sassuolo” this weekend.
The Partenopei are a lowly eighth in Serie A, and the new boss didn’t get off to a great start at the San Paolo after a 2-1 defeat to Parma last weekend.
The first half of the season was turbulent for the Azzurri, and Gattuso would like to settle the disagreements between the players and board without it affecting what happens on the pitch.

During his speech at a Christmas dinner, the former Milan man claimed his new squad “have all the attributes” to get out of their bad patch.
“To my players I will only say one thing,” he began.
“This is not a good period, but we have to keep our heads held high, because we have the attributes to get us back in the right place.
“We have the capacity to get out of this moment, out of this situation. We must resolve all the other problems at the club.
“I hope to get in your heads soon, because this is a place that deserves so much. This shirt is important and many of you have already written some important chapters here.
“We have to get out of it, I believe in everyone of us, you are strong, and if I’m here, it’s not for the money.
“I think my staff and I can demonstrate that we will improve, so let’s go and beat Sassuolo on Sunday.”
