Elseid Hysaj’s agent credits Napoli coach Gennaro Gattuso with “giving back his confidence” after a dismal spell under Carlo Ancelotti.
The Albania international is still expected to leave in the summer, but had been ready to walk out mid-season until Gattuso replaced Ancelotti in December.
“Hysaj has returned to his previous high standards and that is because Gattuso is giving him back his confidence, the best element to make a player truly deliver his potential,” Mario Giuffredi told Radio Marte.

“Hysaj has proved that he is still the same player who was so successful under Maurizio Sarri.”
The 26-year-old is only under contract until June 2021 and a renewal seems improbable at the moment.
Negotiations are even more difficult during the coronavirus pandemic, although the players should be allowed to resume training from May 4.
“The players want to get back out there at all costs, because this is their job,” continued agent Giuffredi.
“It is tough to stay home for two months, so they’ll need a month to get back into shape. There is the risk of serious injuries, so I think the proposal of five substitutions is a great idea, especially in the heat of summer.”
