Genoa Coach Gian Piero Gasperini said “not many sides can cause Napoli huge problems” at the San Paolo.

Tomas Rincon had put the visitors in front after 10 minutes and they kept their lead until the 51st minute, but Gonzalo Higuain’s brace and Omar El Kaddouri eventually turned it around for a 3-1 result.

“Napoli really poured the pressure on in the second half, but we had some important scoring opportunities too. The game remained open and that was in large part down to our performance,” Gasp told Mediaset Premium.

“Maurizio Sarri is doing an extraordinary job. There were a few words exchanged on the touchline, we always say what we think during a game!

“We did well and I am very happy with the performance. Not many sides can say they’ve come here and caused huge problems for Napoli.

“I am concerned with the injuries we sustained. It looks like a muscle tear for Nicolas Burdisso, we’ll see over the next few days.

“Now we’ll take the praise we will receive for our performance, but we know the points we need to stay clear of the danger zone are in the games coming up.”
