Gian Piero Gasperini felt Atalanta “had our best performance of the season,” yet still lost 3-1 to Udinese.
The Orobici dominated possession and had 18 shots compared to just six for the visitors, but came up against stoic goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis.
“It’s difficult to comment after a game like that, really,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s difficult to comment after a game like that, really,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.
“We had our best performance of the season and created so many chances. After their second goal, we started to struggle and were tired from pushing forward so much without reward.
“The first half was extraordinary, but Karnezis and some bad luck meant we just couldn’t score. The only thing missing today was the result.”
It is Atalanta’s second consecutive defeat after a run of eight wins and a draw. Has the bubble burst?
“I think quite the opposite,” replied Gasp. “If we keep performing like this, then we can’t be downhearted.”
