“Finally we can play again,” said the Coach after last week’s game with Parma was called off due to the financial crisis at the Stadio Tardini.
“We have prepared for an important game against an Empoli side that plays excellent football and is making life difficult for all their opponents.
“We have the right spirit and are in a good position in the table. There’s a positive atmosphere around us and we feel the push of the fans.
“When there’s faith in the club, in the Coach and in the players, it is easier to play, pick up points and express ourselves to the full.
“If we keep up the pace over the next few rounds, we can take part in the final sprint for European spots.
“We had started the season looking to secure safety, but if we get the right form going into the final weeks, we can have our say.”
Tino Costa and Lorenzo Ariaudo remain on the treatment table, but Giovanni Marchese returns from injury.
