Roma boss Rudi Garcia has refused to comment on Antonio Conte’s jibe that he is ‘provincial’.

The Giallorossi Coach had called for teams to up their game against Juventus to keep the title race alive – a remark that the Bianconeri tactician labelled as ‘bar talk’.

The Frenchman though, has insisted that he won’t get involved in a war-of-words, but believes that Conte could be ‘nervous’.

“To me, Conte seems a bit nervous. But I have nothing to say on it,” he told Sky Sport Italia after he received the Giuseppe Prisco Award this morning for loyalty, fairness and friendliness in sport.

“I just want to enjoy this day, and that’s it. It’s been an honour to be here at Roma for the last 10 months.”

Garcia then commented on the race for the Scudetto.

“We’ll see what happens tonight [between Juve and Sassuolo]. We just have to concentrate on beating Catania – but our fate is not in our hands.

“At the moment though, everything seems to be going well for us.”
