Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa is open to leaving Inter for a loan spell at Sporting CP, according to Italian reports.
The Brazilian striker arrived from Santos for €29.5m a year ago, but didn’t manage a single Serie A start, only given a handful of substitute appearances.
He seemed determined to stick it out and earn his place in the side, but pre-season games made it clear the forward is not in Luciano Spalletti’s plans.

According to FCInterNews.it, Gabigol had turned down several offers to go out on loan, but would be willing to accept Sporting CP.
There has been no formal proposal to Inter yet, but his entourage is said to be in negotiations with the Portuguese club.
He hopes that a city and a side that already speaks Portuguese will help him to settle in quickly.
