Rasmus Hojlund is on the verge of becoming Atalanta’s record sale with his move to Manchester United, being the latest player to explode under Gian Piero Gasperini.

La Dea have become a team reborn under the 65-year-old Italian coach following his arrival in 2016, becoming a regular in the upper echelons of the Serie A table and qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in their history, appearing in three consecutive campaigns.

Atalanta have also developed a reputation for developing players under Gasperini in recent years and his work has brought in millions in revenue to the club.

Corriere dello Sport via TMW highlights how Atalanta are now ready to sell Hojlund to Manchester United for €85m total, only a year after they signed him from Sturm Graz for just €17.2m.

The Dane is only the latest player to leave Bergamo in a high-profile transfer following his experience under Gasperini, following in the footsteps of players like Cristian Romero, Dejan Kulusevski, Franck Kessie and Alessandro Bastoni.
