Emiliano Viviano has again made it clear that he is very much in favour of his proposed move to Fiorentina.

The goalkeeper, who is part-owned by Palermo and Inter, is set to join the Viola on a loan deal ahead of 2012-13.

“For someone like me who was born in Fiesole and who used to cheer on Gabriel Batistuta from the stands, there is nothing better than the Viola shirt,” he stated.

The former Bologna ‘keeper, who just missed out on a place at Euro 2012, started his career in the Fiorentina youth ranks but left in 2002 when the club went bust.

Viviano, 26, has also played for Cesena and Brescia in the past. He joined Palermo in January after missing the first six months of the season with knee ligament damage at Inter.
