A swap deal involving Fiorentina's Dias Felipe and Parma's Raffaele Palladino appears to have fallen through.

Negotiations broke down yesterday with the scepticism emanating from the Viola's end, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Felipe is a 27-year-old Brazilian centre back and Palladino a 28-year-old striker with three Italy caps to his name. The two have had similar careers in that they both have failed to live up to early promise.

Felipe, regarded as one of the best up and coming defenders in Italy during his time with Udinese , has been a fringe player in Florence and spent the latter half of the 2010-11 campaign on loan at Cesena.

Palladino, nicknamed 'Palladinho' in his youth due to his Brazilian style flair, failed to make the grade with Juventus and has had frequent injury issues, starting only once in Serie A for Parma last season.
