Fiorentina have rejected Mario Gomez’s request to terminate his contract early, according to reports.
The German international is on loan at Besiktas, and the Turkish side claim they can sign him permanently for just €1000.
However, included in the deal is a sell-on clause for the Viola, which Firenze Viola reports is 40 per cent.

The German international is on loan at Besiktas, and the Turkish side claim they can sign him permanently for just €1000.
However, included in the deal is a sell-on clause for the Viola, which Firenze Viola reports is 40 per cent.
The website reports that Gomez’s agent has requested that his client’s contract be terminated, but the Tuscan side rejected that, as they would then lose out on any sell-on clause.
The decision could indicate that Besiktas intend to buy Gomez this summer and then sell him on, as his value has increased with his return to the German national team.
