Fiorentina director Daniele Prade hopes to “bring Giuseppe Rossi back home” after his loan to Levante.
The striker was sent out on a six-month loan to the Liga club in order to rediscover his form and fitness after a lengthy injury lay-off.
“He is a man who lives for football,” Prade told Mediaset Premium. “If you take him away from the pitch, you take away 70 per cent of his life.

“It’s not true to say he was stubborn, if anything he asked to go and play 15 games to see his physical and psychological condition.
“It was a page of a book that had already been written and it suits everybody. We’ll see what happens in five months, but we hope to bring Rossi back home.”
Mauro Zarate, Tino Costa and Cristian Tello arrived this week, but Fiorentina’s hopes for Lisandro Lopez appear to have collapsed.
“We already had an agreement with Lisandro, but Luisao’s injury complicated our plans with Benfica. We know what to do going forward.
“We are fully aware the squad is a little short and will act accordingly.”
