Despite Feyenoord having nothing to play for, their Coach warns Maurizio Sarri’s side won’t have an easy ride at De Kuip.
“It’s always nice to play teams like Napoli,” Van Bronckhorst said in his pre-match Press conference.
“We’ve lost some matches in the Eredivisie because of Europe, but Europe also allows us to gain experience, these are very important matches.
“The difference with teams like City is massive, but we must always play our best and try to improve.
“It’s our last match in Europe and we have the chance to score points, that’s all I need to say. We want to beat Napoli.”
The former Rangers and Barcelona midfielder was then asked whether Shakhtar or Napoli had impressed him more.
“In my opinion, there isn’t a big difference between the two teams. I know City will play their match, they’re possibly the best in Europe right now, but I don’t see big differences between the sides aspiring to second place.
“I think Napoli have a place in the competition, but we think about ourselves.
“We’ve experienced this campaign in a positive way, it hasn’t been to bad. Sure, we’ve got no points but we’ve been up against really strong teams.
“We deserved to be here.”
