Sampdoria Coach Ciro Ferrara has congratulated his side on their performance against Napoli on Sunday, despite losing 1-0 to the Partenopei.
A second half Edinson Cavani strike was enough to give Walter Mazzarri's side the three points, but the Blucerchiati tactician has remained positive, saying he is 'proud' to manage the team.
“The team has been giving excellent performances throughout the season,” he told Radio Anchio Sport. “I'm proud to be coaching these guys.
“My team is, on average, the youngest in Serie A, so the fact that they are competing in this League can only make me happy.
“Having won 10 points already is something that confirms the merits of this team.”
Samp are in fifth place after six games, and will look to maintain their impressive start to the season when they face Chievo on Saturday October 6.
