The Belgium international’s name emerged yesterday, when it was reported that United had rejected a loan bid from the Rossoneri.
However, Corriere della Sera writes today that the 28-year-old has accepted a move to San Siro, although the clubs are still far from an agreement.
The newspaper reports that Milan President Silvio Berlusconi still hasn’t given the OK to a deal and negotiations are yet to come alive.
The Premier League giants are said to want €20m for Fellaini and won’t consider a loan deal. However, the midfielder wants regular football ahead of Euro 2016 which could help a move go through.
The newspaper also writes that the idea of signing Fellaini came almost by accident during talks with long-time target Axel Witsel’s representatives, when his compatriot’s name was suggested.
