The Rossoneri have dominated the transfer market this summer with over €211m spent on new players, including Leonardo Bonucci, Andre Silva, Hakan Calhanoglu, Ricardo Rodriguez, Franck Kessie and Andrea Conti.
“It is our responsibility to build an extraordinary Milan,” said Fassone at a Press conference in China.
“We are reinforcing the team that Vincenzo Montella took to sixth place last season, guaranteeing access to the Europa League preliminary round.
“With Massimiliano Mirabelli, our technical director, we are trying to put important players at his disposal who have bonded with the Milan project.
“With each passing day, very important top players at international level are asking for information on our project. That is a real honour for us.”
Milan were finally taken over by Yonghong Li and his group of Chinese investors after lengthy negotiations.
“One of the first times I spoke with Mr Li about Milan last summer, I realised how much appeal the club has in China and that we were recognised as symbols with extraordinary players like Franco Baresi and Rino Gattuso.
“By lifting trophies, they made the club’s name known all over the world.”
Yonghong Li also confirmed during the event that “we will become great again in Italy and Europe. We’ll surprise our fans again. From the first day, I guaranteed new buys for Milan.”
