Swedish referee Jonas Eriksson will take charge of Juventus’ Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The Old Lady won the first leg 2-1 in Turin and will reach the final by avoiding defeat against a star-studded Madrid side at the Bernabeu.
The appointment of Eriksson bodes well for both sides, as the Swede has officiated two Champions League matches for the respective clubs previously.

For the Bianconeri, Eriksson took charge of a 3-1 away win against Shakhtar Donetsk in 2012-13 and a 3-1 home win against Copenhagen in 2013-14.
The referee has also officiated Madrid’s 3-0 win over Zenit St Petersburg in 2008-09 and a 4-1 victory over Ajax in 2012-13.
However, the Swede suffered heavy criticism from Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini this season after officiating City’s 2-0 defeat to Barcelona at the Etihad Stadium.
