Former Roma, Lazio and Sampdoria coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has claimed Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski could help fill the void left by Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Sweden.
Kulusevski signed with Juventus from Atalanta in January but returned to complete the season on loan at Parma, before joining his new side ahead of 2020-21.
The 20-year-old was awarded his debut for Sweden in November 2019 after an impressive start to the season with the Gialloblu and played the full 90 minutes in a 2-0 defeat to Portugal at Friends Arena, where his new superstar teammate Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a brace for the visitors.
Eriksson, who picked up four Coppa Italia, two Supercoppa Italiana and one Scudetto during his time as a coach in Serie A, looks forward to seeing more of the youngster, as he spoke to The Italian Football Podcast about life after Zlatan in the Swedish national side.
"Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the few players Sweden have who can score a goal by himself. In Sweden we really don't have those kinds of players," Sven told The Italian Football Podcast.
"But now we have an interesting player coming through who has just signed for Juventus, Dejan Kulusevski.
"He is only 19/20 years old. I think he has something, he can do things for himself. He can decide a game by himself.
"Sweden need that and Sweden always had these kinds of players. But recently, no.”
