Empoli director Marcello Carli warns Fiorentina “probably cannot afford” to buy Riccardo Saponara.
The creative midfielder is valued at around €15m and has been linked with numerous clubs, including Milan, Real Betis and Bologna.
“I don’t think we’d wait until August 15 to sell him, otherwise we’d have difficulty finding a replacement in such a short space of time,” director of sport Carli told TGR Rai Toscana.
“If a good opportunity arises for him and for us, then we’ll talk about it.”
