Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco has rubbished talk that Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri could replace him next season. “It doesn’t make sense.”
“We showed against Bologna that you can’t afford to underestimate a team fighting to stay up,” Di Francesco said at a Press conference.
“We can’t mess up. It’s a crucial match for us. Frosinone did well at home to Lazio and showed they had some good ideas against Sampdoria.
“At least one of Florenzi, Manolas, Fazio and Zaniolo will play [referring to them being one booking away from suspension]. It’s wrong to think about games after the next one.
“I’ll make my assessments. De Rossi will play as a starter and today he’ll train with the team. He’ll be our captain.
“We’ll play with a 3-5-2, mirroring Frosinone… Pastore can’t be happy about playing very little, but he’s training really well.
“He’s doing all he possibly can to find the right physical condition. Perotti’s doing much better now and could play. He’ll play for his place with Kluivert and El Shaarawy.
“Zaniolo’s really played a lot for someone his age. We can’t expect him to play every game at a high level.
“Not protected enough by referees? He's impetuous and picked up some yellows, but it’s true that referees haven’t blown their whistles enough.
“In some cases, more decisions should’ve gone in his favour. Sarri? Such talk causes instability and doesn’t make sense.
“I don’t care about the Sarri rumours. My point of contact is Monchi.”
