Eusebio Di Francesco has confirmed that Alessandro Florenzi will be in Roma’s squad to face Inter on Saturday.
Florenzi has been recovering from a second ACL injury since last October, but Di Francesco believes the right-sider is fit enough to possibly take part against Inter, although 90 minutes remain out of the question.
“There are the comparisons with Spalletti, but tomorrow is about Roma-Inter first and foremost,” began the Coach at a Press conference.

“I don’t have to introduce Luciano, I’m clearly younger than him! I tried to steal something from him too. For me, he’s an example.
“I’ve worked with him in the past and we continue to have a good relationship.
“Schick? There’s no transfer market in my head, only Inter and a result so we can work more calmly during the international break.
“Spalletti’s doing a great job, he has clear ideas and Inter are brimming with great quality.
“They made a great start against Fiorentina, which made everything easier.
“They have some important players of a high calibre, especially up top. Still, I expect a better performance from a technical standpoint than in Bergamo.
“We’ve had a great week of working and we still have one more training session, where I’ll evaluate things.
“We can’t shake this team up completely in five days, it takes time for the players to assimilate what I’ve asked of them.
“I’ll definitely make my decision on the right-back today. Juan Jesus? I’m not surprised, since I got here, I found a player with great desire to prove he could play for Roma.
“Tomorrow he’ll be able to prove to Inter that they were wrong to sell him, but he mustn’t be happy just yet. He still has big room for improvement.
“Moreno could play, he’s growing after finding it tough at the start. Florenzi? He’ll certainly be called up.
“I wanted to play him from the start, but he still doesn’t have the right conditions to play for 90 minutes.
“Still, you can never say never in football. He could be a solution.
“The hope of Spalletti and everyone else was to see him back on the pitch, for who he is and what he’s gone through. I’ll evaluate things.
“Karsdorp could get a few minutes in the game against Chapecoense next Friday. It’s an important match and I hope there’s a full Olimpico.
“When you coach a team for four years, the team play perfectly. The repetition of everything makes it all better.
“I can’t lock players in a cell to force them to do what I say. Their quality lies in choosing the right thing to do, and their condition and quality is still growing and improving, so it takes longer.
“However, it’s impossible to compare Sassuolo to Roma as they’re different. Still, these lads believe in what I’m proposing, and it’ll take time for [what I propose] to happen.”
