Edin Dzeko said today’s volley to beat Torino was “one of my top three career goals” after giving Roma a last-gasp victory.

Justin Kluivert sprinted down the right and floated a cross that Dzeko steered into the far top corner off the inside of his left foot.

“It was a difficult game, as it always is here with Torino, as they caused us problems in the past too. We struggled a little, but when we suffer, we do it all together,” the Bosnian told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was a difficult game, as it always is here with Torino, as they caused us problems in the past too. We struggled a little, but when we suffer, we do it all together,” the Bosnian told Sky Sport Italia.

“I saw Kluivert on the right and hoped he would cross it to the back post, which is fortunately what he did!

“I didn’t have time to think. There were so many players in the box, I wouldn’t have had time to take a touch. We were right at the end, I had to go for it.

“I think it was one of my top three career goals. I had one not dissimilar last season, perhaps that one was better, but this was more important.

“Kluivert is great because he can play on the right or left, it makes no difference to him.”
