Paulo Dybala warns Juventus lacked their usual “will to win” against Lazio – “we had a day off we didn’t deserve”.

The Bianconeri lost 3-2 to in Sunday’s Supercoppa Italiana, and La Joya admits the performance just wasn’t good enough.

“We didn’t put in the performance of a great team,” Dybala admitted, speaking to La Stampa.

“In fact, there wasn’t the right edge or will to win. We weren’t there. In the first 10 minutes we had all the desire in the world, but then we relaxed.

“Lazio had more humility, and that’s the secret.

“Max Allegri said we didn’t use the anger of our Champions League defeat? He’s right, we had a day off we didn’t deserve.”

Leonardo Bonucci left this summer, and Dybala was also asked about the task of replacing the Milan defender.

“We know that he and Dani Alves were very important for us, but we have a lot of quality players and the boss sometimes has to make difficult choices.

“It’s difficult to replace him [Bonucci], but we have players who can do it.”
