“The win over Sassuolo gives us a morale boost, after a period which wasn’t great,” Donnarumma admitted, speaking to Milan TV.
“We handled the match very well, it wasn’t easy because they’re a good team who play good football but now we can enjoy this win.

“There are moments during a game when you have to hang on and just stay in it, where you need to fight together and not concede.
“We were good at doing that, and we were clinical up-front too and were able to win the game.
“I want to thank the fan because they were wonderful throughout the match, even during the warm-up, and we hope to keep going like this.
“The Sassuolo game could be a turning point, we’re just taking it game-by-game and we’ll keep working as we’ve been doing.
“Now there’s the Europa League, then the league again on Sunday and then we’ll have a little rest.”
