Dnipro Coach Myron Markevych felt his team “deserved more” from their 2-1 Europa League defeat to Inter.
The Ukrainians had taken the lead and saw a penalty parried, but Daniel Osvaldo secured victory despite Andrea Ranocchia’s red card.
“We lacked a bit of luck tonight, as Inter took their chances and we didn’t,” said Markevych in his Press conference.
“It’s also true we are not accustomed to facing huge sides like the Nerazzurri. It’s a problem we have seen repeatedly, as we always score with penalties in training, but it’s different in a match situation.
“Now we have to gamble it all against Saint-Etienne and also hope Inter at least get a draw with Qarabag. It was a balanced game when we faced Inter in Kiev, whereas tonight we deserved more.”
Yevhan Konoplyanka has repeatedly been linked with a move to the Nerazzurri.
“Many clubs want him, not just Inter. His future depends on the team that is able to sign him, but at the moment he’s not in top form due to fitness problems.”
