The Ligue 1 side have paid a reported €5m for the 19-year-old, who only joined Milan in January and had been playing for their Primavera team.
However, Sporting warned not long after the striker’s transfer was announced that they would approach FIFA with a view to receiving compensation from Lille.
The 20-year-old was one of the players who terminated their contracts with the Portuguese side last summer after ultras raided the club’s training ground.
Sporting continue to maintain none of those players were within their rights to unilaterally break their deals, accusing Les Dogues of ‘illegally stealing’ the forward.
