The Neroverdi boss is touted for a move to a bigger team, with director Nereo Bonato recently admitting the decision on where to go is down to him.

In an interview with Il Tempo today, ‘Difra’ has spoken fondly of Roma in particular, for whom he played as a midfielder from 1997 to 2001.

“I remember with great pleasure President Franco Sensi, he was almost a father to me, and a person with great humanity,” the Coach has reflected.

“But it was not my experience as a player that inspired me to become a Coach, I imagined other roles for me.

“I had fun with [Zdenek] Zeman in spite of the training sessions being very tough, because he had an attacking mentality.

“My experience as a player was fundamental from a technical and tactical point of view, but also to teach me about interpersonal relations.”

But Di Francesco was less open to disclosure when asked about a possible move to the Lupi.

“Can I decline to answer? The answer would be too easy and too obvious.”

Bonato reiterated yesterday in an interview with ViolaNews.com that Difra will end up at a larger team.

“He is certainly destined to Coach a big team, but there is mutual trust and he will make his own decision.”
