Italy Under-21 Coach Gigi Di Biagio assures they are “not second to Serbia” ahead of tomorrow’s top of the table showdown.
The joint leaders of their European Under-21 Championship qualifier face off in Novi Sad on Thursday at 17.30 GMT.
“Last year Serbia won the Under-20 World Cup, but we are not second to them. It’ll be an entertaining game between two teams who always want to win,” said Di Biagio.

“It is a big game, as we are both top of the group, these are two very strong sides and the performances so far back that up.
“Serbia have long represented an important nation when it comes to churning out talent in football and sport in general. It’s only right to respect them, but we must focus on our strengths and their weaknesses.
“So far the campaign has been positive and I am very satisfied with the results we achieved, even if we still need to improve our overall game and above all the finishing.”
