“It was a special game for me and I really wanted to do well in front of our fans,” Destro told Mediaset Premium after the 2-1 victory.
He also revealed the celebration pointing to the sky was for his recently deceased grandfather.
“There were a few unlucky incidents against Napoli, so today we wanted to prove ourselves and play really good football.”
The Rossoneri had lost three on the bounce, but once again caused an upset against one of the clubs chasing a Champions League spot.
Will Destro stay in Milan or return to Roma next month?
“I don’t know, we are all waiting for the end of the season and then we’ll see. Does my future depend on Rudi Garcia? I’m not answering that.”
