Genoa insist that there is no certainty about where Mattia Destro will be playing his club football next season.

Destro is being linked with the likes of Inter and Juventus following his fine campaign at Siena, but reports that Genoa have already agreed his sale are wide of the mark.

“Mattia’s market situation is a fluctuating one,” new Rossoblu CEO Pietro Lo Monaco told Tele Radio Stereo.

“That’s because in the coming weeks Siena could take up their option to sign him on a co-ownership basis.

“He has shown himself to be a considerable player, a rare commodity in the role he plays and it is only normal that a lot of clubs want his signature.

“However, to presently say that there are negotiations going on with regard to his sale would be wrong.”

Destro, 12 goals in Serie A this term, was one of the last two players cut from Cesare Prandelli’s 25-man preliminary squad for Euro 2012.
