“I need to be more clinical in front of goal,” the former Inter, Genoa and Siena man noted. “Certain chances should not be missed.

The Italian international was the outfit’s big summer signing, but he has responded with just two goals so far.
“I need to be more clinical in front of goal,” the former Inter, Genoa and Siena man noted. “Certain chances should not be missed.
“The team has faith in me, but, unfortunately, I have not been able to give what I would have wanted up until now.
“I had no doubts about joining Roma though,” he added. “Fabio Borini – now at Liverpool – advised me to come because this is a great team and a great city.”
Destro’s form over the last year has seen him enter the international set-up, but he’s still eligible to play for the Under-21 side.
It means that a decision will have to be made at the end of the season whether he takes part in the U-21 European Championship or the Confederations Cup.
“I like both solutions, but it will be up to the Coaches to decide what happens,” he concluded.
