“My family and I were welcomed so warmly and we leave a piece of our hearts here. I will always have a special bond with this land that destiny allowed me to discover, that I began to love and that is now within me.
“Thank you for all that YOU have given to me. You helped me grow as a footballer and a man, so for this I will be eternally grateful.
“Thank you to all of Atalanta, from the Percassi family to all those who work with dedication to keep this club going.
“A particular thanks to the fans, be united! You have always supported me and I will miss so much celebrating by running under the Curva to scream.
“These years have been intense, emotional and full of great moments. I loved every instant that I wore this shirt and fought for these club colours, honouring what the jersey represents.
“This is not a goodbye but an arrivederci. You have become too important for me to not see you again.
“Thank you, thank you and again thank you. Always forza Dea.”
