The Frenchman would apparently like to use the Italian veteran’s experience as a learning tool for the younger elements of his squad.
Del Piero, a World Cup winner with Italy, is now 37 and has scored just one goal in 17 games this term across Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
Signed by the Bianconeri in the summer of 1993 from Padova, Juve have already confirmed that they won’t be offering the club captain a new deal.
It was believed that Del Piero would be tempted by a move to America or Asia next.
Arsenal apparently made a bid for Del Piero in the summer of 2006, but the No 10 stayed loyal to the Bianconeri following their demotion to Serie B.
