Gigi Del Neri noted Verona’s 3-3 draw with Inter “proves we believe in safety,” although they remain rock bottom.

Hellas had been 3-1 up against the title hopefuls, but were pegged back in the final minutes.

“Lately we got results and this is our fifth round unbeaten,” said the Coach.

“The hope now is to make fewer mistakes and to play our game against sides that are on our level.

“With a little more luck, we would’ve won today. Inter scored and in a similar situation we hit the upright. It could’ve gone differently.

“This performance proves we believe in safety and that we can fight it out with anyone. We’ll keep going to the very last day of the campaign, no matter what happens.

“Verona are now finally showing good football and we are prepared to do battle. You can see the hunger and grit in these players.

“The fans are incredible, we can only thank them for their immense passion and support. They believe in us and we have to respond to their chanting by making the ball sing.”
