Milan youth sector chief Filippo Galli has cooled the enthusiasm surrounding Mattia De Sciglio and Hachim Mastour.
De Sciglio is a graduate of the club’s youth academy who is now part of the first team, while Mastour is a 15-year-old kid who has caught the media’s attention.
“A player like De Sciglio has margins for improvement,” Galli, a former Diavolo defender, told Radio Sportiva. “We’re happy that we were able to give him to Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.”
Mastour, meanwhile, is an Italian boy born to Moroccan parents who was signed by the Rossoneri as a 14-year-old for a reported €0.5m from Reggiana.
“Mastour has above average technical qualities,” Galli admitted. “But the media attention he is receiving is very high.”
