The 36-year-old will now undergo his medical before putting pen to paper on a contract with the Giallorossi.
De Sanctis will replace Maarten Stekelenburg in the capital goal after the latter was sold to Premiership side Fulham.
The former Pescara, Juventus and Udinese man has left the Azzurri after spending the last four years at the Stadio San Paolo.
Napoli have already brought in two new goalkeepers this summer in the form of Liverpool’s Pepe Reina and Rafael from Santos.
